On June 11th the Amcom project team was honored at the PMI Atlanta meeting (http://pmiatlanta.org) for winning the 2012 Project of the Year award for Public-Sector/Education projects!
The core team was comprised of Elizabeth Bell (Integration), Kelly Bray (Integration), Jay Flanagan (Infrastructure), John Hawkins (Infrastructure), Bonita Russell (Enterprise Services), Jason Stanaland (Infrastructure), and Tamika Williams (Enterprise Services). Other key OIT players were Erika Buchholz (Integration), Lionel Clark (Emory Healthcare), Graydon Kirk (PMO), Tanisha McNichol (Enterprise Applications), Mary Kay O’Brien (Emory Healthcare), Scott Swann (PMO), and Doug Trail (Emory Healthcare).
With the help of the great editing skills from Marisa Benson (PMO), we submitted an award winning proposal. We outlined how this project, after 7 prior attempts, was a success using an innovative but structured Project management framework to complete the Amcom Upgrade and Integrate with the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
